What is?... Dark Matter?
Dark Matter is a recording, mixing and mastering facility based in the vibrant Northern Quarter of Manchester city centre. The brainchild of two ex members of Jersey Street productions, Dark Matter has been brought into existence to provide the best in analogue processing and digital recording at a cost effective price.
The heart of the studio is based around a 28 input Amek BC3 analogue mixer.
Originally designed for broadcast, the BC3 features a Rupert Neve designed input stage (Mic/Line Amp) and is electronically balanced throughout ensuring sonic clarity and noise free operation. Digital recording is handled by a G5 Apple Mac running Logic software, conversion to and from the digital domain is handled by an Apogee Rosetta 800 audio interface, ensuring pristine A/D and D/A conversion.
